Abstract Session Descriptions

For the first time ever ECCMID will take place as a hybrid event both online and on-site. We are excited to bring you multiple exciting session types for the abstract programme, including some innovative new formats!

The programme will feature three different session types built on accepted abstracts:

Oral Sessions

1-hour oral session

5 speakers

2 chairpersons

12 min each presentation, 10 min presentation plus 2 min discussion

2-hour oral session

10 speakers

2 chairpersons

12 min each presentation, 10 min presentation plus 2 min discussion

Mini-Oral Flash Session

Duration: 1 hour

9 speakers

2 chairpersons

6 min each presentation, 4 min presentation plus 2 min discussion, presentation no more than three slides

Clinical Case Session

Duration: 1 hour

5 speakers

1 chairperson

11 min each presentation, 8 min presentation plus 3 min discussion, 5 min final discussion at the end of each session
