ESCMID offers abstract submitters for ECCMID 2022 the following grants and awards:

Please note that it is not possible for a single presenting author to be awarded with more than one of the below grants in a single year.

ESCMID offers 100 young scientists who submit an abstract an ECCMID Travel Grant. Travel grant covers full registration to the congress and a travel allowance of EUR 500. The ECCMID 2022 travel grants application is available during the abstract submission process, open until the 26th of November 2021. More information can be found on the ESCMID website.

 

As in previous years, ECCMID attendees are given the option to pay a 20 EUR donation upon registration.
The revenues from this initiative support attendees who otherwise cannot attend the congress.

The grant covers: travel, accommodation (up to 5 nights depending on the origin of the grantee), and the ECCMID 2022 registration fee. It can also be used solely for online participation or cover the full registration cost for grantees who cannot travel.

Evaluation of these grants is based on balanced criteria, including age, ESCMID membership status, and country of origin.

The ISF/ESCMID Sepsis Award 2022 recognizes an outstanding sepsis abstract submitted to the 32nd ECCMID 2022.

Abstracts from the regular abstract submission will be considered for this award.

All abstract submitters in the sepsis field are eligible for this USD 500 award, granted that they have ticked the box during submission indicating their candidature. ISF will review these sepsis-related abstracts and select a winner. More information can be found on the ESCMID website

ECCMID Outreach Grant

ESCMID also offers a special grant for attendees coming from Low- or Lower-middle income countries where applicants do NOT need to submit an abstract to be eligible. Learn more here.
