Late regular and late-breaker abstracts
For 2022, ESCMID will be accepting late submissions of regular abstracts alongside the usual 'late breaker' abstract call.
This decision has been made following requests form ESCMID members that have been heavily involved in the response to the COVID-19 pandemic, so were not able to submit their research work during the regular abstract submission window.
Late regular abstracts will be accepted in all normal abstract categories.
Late breaker abstracts (containing new data not available until after the close of regular abstract submission in November 2021) will be accepted in the following categories:
- New drugs
- Clinical trials
- COVID-19
- Outbreaks and public health emergencies other than COVID-19
Abstract Guidelines
For late regular and late breaker abstracts, the regular ECCMID abstract guidelines apply.
Submission, review and notification timeline
Submission period: 2 - 16 February 2022 (closing at 15:59 CET)
Review period: 23 February - 9 March 2022
Notification period: 21 - 25 March 2022
